I'd always dream of visiting far away places that were full of history, different cultures and people, my dreams started in 2000 to become reality when I left my home in England for Australia on a years working holiday and I have not stopped exploring and travelling the world since.

My passion for travel was further ignited on my route home backpacking through Sumatra. I fell in love with the Indonesian people, the simplicity of life, culture, amazing food, wonders of the underwater world and our fury endangered friends the Orangutans.

My next big trip took me back to Asia: Nepal for an unforgettable and challenging expedition to Everest Base Camp and then my first Intrepid tour, North and South Thailand. In my years of travelling and experience as a Travel Specialist I have been fortunate to experience over 40 countries and had the most amazing experiences: like watching the sunrise over Machu Pichu, sunset behind the Taj Mahal, soaking up the magical atmosphere of a flower candle ceremony on the River Ganges, Hot air ballooning night glow in Rome, watching Cheetah cubs play on the Masai Mara plains, riding a camel around the great Pyramids of Giza, walking on the Great Wall of China, living like a local in a traditional Iban longhouse with the head-hunters of Borneo, diving with Manta rays, and leisurely floating on the canals of Venice in an authentic gondola.

My current journey started in April 2009, through Kenya, Uganda, tracking the rare Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda then Tanzania for the stunning sunrise I witnessed at the summit of Africa's highest peak, Kilimanjaro, and now being part of Intrepid Travel allows me to share my passion, experiences and help you make your dreams come true. I don't want to ever stop travelling, it's opened my mind and has enriched my life.

I still have lots of places to discover, why don't you pop in for a visit, we can compare stories, have a chat and all be inspired for our next adventures.

After seeing much of what my home country of New Zealand has to offer on family holidays, I decided to take off over seas for my big OE basing myself in London for 18th months. Never one for crowded buses filled with hungover tourists travelling around spending minimum time in each capital, I managed to take a trip to Europe at least once a month, seeing my way through Hungary, Spain, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Egypt, Demark and Sweden. I then spent 6 months in Courchevel, France where I finally learnt to ski and master the culinary skills of Savoie region.

I enjoy travelling and finding my own hidden treasures like the underground labyrinth in Budapest, one of my favourite cities, snorkelling in Egypt lapping up the view of the stunning colourful coral walls in the Blue hole, tasting Gulas in Prague, one of now favourite dishes and testing my whispering skills at the whispering walls in the Adelaide Hills, Australia which is similar to the experience you will get from St Pauls Cathedral, London.

Finally making my way home, my travels are far from over, I'm always trying to find somewhere new and exciting to travel, Travelling with Intrepid allows you to experience the local culture, mix with the local people and experience the gastronomic delights of the world. Come and see me to plan and be inspired for your next journey.

So many people have asked me what my favourite place is, but that's just too hard! There are so many wonderful places that are special for different reasons. But some of my favourites include: Thailand and Laos for friendly people, interesting architecture and great food; New Zealand for scenery; Italy for history and food (gelato, gelato, everywhere!); Jamaica for beaches and music; London for theatre, and Australia for unique wildlife.

Some of my favourite unique travel experiences have included seeing Whirling Dervishes on an Intrepid trip in Turkey, watching wild elephants on safari in South Africa, zip-lining through rainforest canopy and watching monkeys on the beach in Costa Rica, riding a camel at the pyramids in Egypt and an elephant in Zimbabwe, taking a cooking class with my Mom in Thailand (on another Intrepid trip), and looking after alpacas on a farm in Australia.

My future travel dreams include getting close to wildlife in the Galapagos, learning to tango in Argentina and salsa in Cuba, going on safari in Kenya, seeing Iguazu falls in Brazil, and experiencing the culture of Tibet, Morocco and more of South America. My passport has the stamps of somewhere around 60 countries, but there's always room for more!

When I'm not traveling, I can be found reading, writing, salsa dancing, walking on a beach, drinking tea or eating dark chocolate, my other love.
